Poem: Significance
A poem inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh’s Order of Interbeing.
I want to be significant
Yet I am insignificant
The I who wants to be
Is not, unless it does.
To do requires yet the eye
To look around and see
With nose and ear and tongue and body
The eye can inter-be.
We inter-are significant
Yet never insignificant
Significance is emptiness
And emptiness is Peace.
